Back in 2013 I was on my way to the largest gathering of humanity ever, the Kumbha Mela but before I reached that I had 3 days in Varanasi. There is no doubt that Varanasi is a fascinating place, but it is quite confronting too. The colors are amazing the light is suffused and everywhere you look there is another photo opportunity.
