Mu Cang Chai Rice Terraces
The paparazzi were in full force when we arrived at the first touristed terrace. They were there en masse, all lined up with gear dripping off them, spread legged tripods and drones buzzing overhead like circling vultures, all capturing the same or at the very least, a similar shot. We hightailed out of there to find our own locations as fast as possible. On motor scooters we followed roads and tracks winding deeper in to the hills uncovering spectacular countryside as farmers toiled in the heat bringing in the harvest.
